Formerly known as Wat Khema or Wat Khen Ma, it is an ancient royal monastery since the early Ayutthaya period. Phra Maha Chedi inside contains the Buddha's relics; Pay homage to Phra Sri Ariyametrei and Indra that was transformed into an old Buddha image invited from Chankasem Palace. Inside the temple, there are the Red Palace and the Moon Montien Throne Hall. Field Marshal Plaek Phibunsongkhram used to study at Wat Khema Phirataram School.
